alright so the date is 18th... but really its more like 24-26ish... perhaps even 29..

ALRIGHT so this painting (and the other one after this) was inspired by having gone to a some gallery place
and then coming across a piece by Santos Shelton, and just being absolutely ENTHRALLED by it.
star struck after searching him up and all his other art.
and so as a homage, I made these "magicians"
and spun my own take by the mind, eyes, and fingers.
(if the real Santos comes across this, hopefully you dont mind me talking about you)
and then... yeah. heres the leaping magician.
AND HOOH THIS ONE WAS A REAL SLINKY BASTARD
did have my multiple moments of frusturations.
fuck it im gonna show the wips first before the actual end result.
and to also deal with my commentary because i can do what i want forever.
so begin by a blopping down colors and smearing them around.
then when it dries, have some fun with a fork and more smears.
then put in the basic shapes of the body
and then shove the canvas away fro a couple months as i then went to bring several feltings up and running.
after all those feltings are able to run around, i bring this canvas back onto the besk.
taking some design choices off the clown i did and making the boots be lemonade colors
i then added cyan ribbons for that Flair, and decided a red face would be REALLY bold.
as i was covering the face up, i realized that the black of the body underneath wasnt quite dry
so it kinda got picked up and marbled with the red. a cool effect actually.
here i thought. THOUGHT i could have been done... i could have been done...
up and ready to put on the mod podge, a mix of shiny and matte, slathered about.
but then something about the white parts of the face was bugging me... so i slapped on a another coat of the white..
AND THATS WHEN THE TROUBLES BEGAN
just... gonna ignore the smearing the MP has done with picking up the black across the glove...

meditate on that mistake... clear it up! no one will ever know!

fuck up the face again
and cover up the face again! except only half of it.
now... in the time that the everythhing was drying up... somehow the mouth became pink.
i dont know how the fuck that happened, same thing happened with the runner.. though the eyes remained white
its like the red bypassed the blue layer of the lips and just bled onto the white of the mouth, rendering it pink..
i was gonna "fix it up" Yet Again, but after a day, i grew rather fond of it and learned to love the phenomenon.
so just. slather up the MP again and call it quits.

the canvas wasnt a rather small one. but not too small.
