dragon wall tile
April 21, 2025

this was something new and very experimental. i wanna see if i can do something to put against the wall, and have a somewhat complex image to it.
so of course it had to be a dragon as a gift for the cat friend

DIDNT DECIDE TO SPLIT PHOTOS FROM "WIPS" AND "GALLERY" SO ITS ALL ONE THING BECAUSE THIS IS A PRETTY FLAT TILE THINGY WITH TWO SIDES. NO USE IN DOING ALL THAT. YKNOW.

p1.shape out p2. shape bulk p3. first neck

p4. body shape p5. wing yellow p6. wet dragon

well with all that getting out, time to do the wet rolling.

p7.sheet roller p8. fold edge p9. body bag

and when i got to that step, thats where everything went so wrong. oh well.
at least i was feeling clever in folding the edges back to keep them smooth.

p10.first roll p11.second roll p12.top unloop

and it all turned so lumpy.
which i later figured out that its just forgetting some basic behaviors of wool... because the fibers like to hug each other.
and the parts that are blue is fundimentally thinner than the middle area where the dragon is. because the dragon has its own layer AND the backing layer. so of course the thin area are drawn in towards the center and thats how the rectangle shape seemed to have imploded in on itself.

oh well. something to learn from.

p13. string loop p14. cosmo sniff p15. back heart

i tried to put a heart shape on the back, but turned out i did so upside down. shrugs.

p16.hand hold p17. table show p18. close face

p19. tail close p20. wall hang

p21. stab counter

stabs: 11. I only really use needle to close that loop thingy on top.
