the budgie character i got. making her real. twice!
one for myself and the other for friend jasper as is her coparent.
yeah shes to be like. fuzzy and covered in downy feathers, but i dont know how to have wool sticking out
in a way that wont have it fall right off with the slightest breeze. so be all that she is.
flat.
also with me having some doll eyes that ive rarely used, this is a good enough excuse to actually
put them on a project. and the eyes do help doing wonders in just bringing in that... that.
fuck i dont know what words to use to describe.
the AWkwardness.
the awkwardness of being a baby and not yet being aware of being alive and then the tiredness of being born.
or something.
````
heres how i went through the process of making the both of her.
using a baby blue felt craft sheet and then putting flowers that me and jasper agreed that would represent her in what i could collect from side of the roads. daisy (big and small), sunflower and forget me nots. and of course the classic lavender/rosemary.
i shouldve inverted the bags from inside out to keep the stitch line to not be in the way.
also obligitory blood smear.
one bugdie has yellow eyes, the other has clear eyes.
hand stuff doing.
ears. one of her most notable features.
just churnning on through part by part, as with anything that has ever been and will be created. sock time. attach hands to arms then to put skin on the arms and then attach sock to body and attach skin to body and then... so on and so forth.
the cool thing of making twins is that i can work on a part on one and then show a side by side of before and after.
the tails differ at one having the forked shapes thingys being horizontal, and the other being vertical. its the main way how i can tell them apart now. the eye colors dont really show through.
arm feathers. its the closest thing i can do to have her look. birdy.
making a little tuft onto her heads. i like that little tuft.
and then making these eyes that have unnamed primal emotion to them.
i had lots of hope of the socks not giving me any trouble. it sure did. the ankle stuff is too thin so i had to shove more material against the connection between foot and body.
the socks are done and good enough. now. the ears.
stab counter: 195. i thought ill be working on her for buch longer... apparently not.
i didnt mean for her arms to be help up and out to such a degree, cant keep them tucked in. but hey its like shes always inviting a hug.
