-[DESCRIPTION: a couple of ten lined june beetles (Polyphylla decemlineata) in a pale mauve void.
the male climbs onto the back of the female to mount and then mate.]-
a month and some ago, i got to see 10LJB for the first time while shooting the breeze with some friends at a park
at the middle of the night and saw a couple of individuals.
and it was like. three of us huddled at the sidewalk crouching in front of a beetle. in the dark under a street lamp.
good times.
we saw first a male, and then a few meters away was a female. easy to tell with the size difference of the antenna.
entralled and facination of beasts.
i dont know if theyve encountered each other, didnt observe for too long. but. wishful thinking.
